nformation technology (IT) has become a vital part of all businesses. The efficient transmission, storage, and analysis of information are among the most important functions. Information systems support specialists help organizations share and store information through computer networks, systems, and databases.

The Information Systems Support Specialist program will provide students with both the theory and practical experience necessary to design, implement, manage, and maintain computers and network installations in organizations of all sizes. The program covers a wide range of topics from hardware installation, configuration, and networking to Windows operating systems, MS Office support, and help desk techniques.

Students will study the theory of computer systems hardware and software components and develop practical skills through hands-on lab training. In addition, they’ll learn about help desk and troubleshooting operations.

The Information Systems Support Specialist program helps students prepare for industry-standard certification examinations including Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ and Net+. This program is available with or without an internship.
