In the ever-evolving architecture industry, advancing technology and modern developments create new and exciting design and construction opportunities. Architectural technicians play a crucial role in this dynamic field, collaborating with architectural professionals to plan and execute sophisticated residential and commercial designs. GTA Academy’s architecture programs are tailored to train students for entry into this progressive industry, offering practical skills and advanced training with the latest architectural technology.

Architecture Courses:

Architecture programs typically fall into one of two categories:

  1. Architectural Technician: These two-year diploma programs prepare students for roles in the construction industry, working alongside architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals. Students learn to prepare construction drawings, specifications, and architectural designs using cutting-edge computer technology. Course topics cover drafting, building code standards, materials and measurements, as well as the history of architecture and architectural design.

  2. Architectural Technology: Similar to technician programs, architectural technology programs provide foundational knowledge but extend to a third year for more advanced training. This additional year may include further general knowledge and enhanced training with architecture software and technology, or specialized training in a particular area of architecture, such as commercial detailing.

Specialty architecture programs are also available, catering to specific interests and career paths. For instance, the green architecture graduate certificate program focuses on environmentally friendly construction and sustainable design principles. Alternatively,
